This December, The Other Room are returning to Cardiff and partnering with our new friends at Jacob’s Antique Market to bring you a Christmas production: Sprinkles by Katie Elin-Salt.
Sprinkles by Katie Elin Salt
“I just stand there under a big sign that says, Cardiff Central. I’ve not been here for years. And all I can think is, where the f*** has the bus station gone?”
It’s Christmas season, and Santa is in dire need of his most trusted elf. Sprinkles is stern. Sprinkles is fun. Sprinkles is absolutely off her tits!
As the wheels of the festive machine turn, one woman returns to Cardiff and lands some not-so-jolly seasonal work. But will this job be enough? Can any job help her find the precious thing she’s lost?
Sprinkles runs in The Other Room at Jacob’s Antiques Market from December 3rd – 21st of December.
Director Dan Jones has this to say:
“What I love about Sprinkles, is that it really gets to the heart of Christmas. It’s about the nonsense we get up to at this time of year - both the funny and the excessive. It’s a time of magic and joy for the young, but as you get older, its more about the things and the people you have lost. It’s fun and devasting. Light and dark. Real and surreal.”
